Top Gear personality Jeremy Clarkson takes the Corvette Z06 out for a test run. This beast is powered by a V8 engine that produces 505hp @ 6300rpm and 470 ft. lb torque @ 4300rpm. Highlights include testing the engine from 0 – 175 mph in 5th gear and comparing the Z06 to Ferrari’s 575.
 
On the track, the Z06 beat the Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari F430, and came very close to the Porsche 911 GT3.

Bugatti’s Veyron is claimed to be the world’s most expensive and powerful production car ever. At $1.3 million, it boasts a 8.0L quad-turbo W16 engine that produces 1000+hp and 927 ft. lb torque — rocketing the vehicle from 0-60 mph in just 2.4 seconds. Top Gear takes this beast out for a test run.

Made by Taiwan-based E-Lead, the Mapod is a portable GPS navigation system, which clearly took design cues from the iPod — measuring 19 x 142 x 78mm. It offers a 3.6-inch touchscreen, intuitive point-2-point interface, embedded GPS antenna and an external GPS antenna jack. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced. Now that you’ve seen the Koenigsegg CCR, Top Gear personality Jeremy Clarkson takes its successor — the CCX — out for a spin. This monster offers a twin-supercharged 4.7 litre V8 that pumps out 806bhp (normal petrol) – 900bhp (eco-friendly bio fuel) and has a top speed of 250mph. It rockets from 0-60 in a little over 3 seconds.

Hey, let’s don’t actually expend any energy riding bikes—we could just replace our front wheels with a RevoPower can never have to pedal our bicycles again. Well, not quite. This little 1.1HP, 23cc, two-stroke internal combustion engine-that-could revs up to 7500RPM and its maker says it can reach speeds of 20 mph on a flat surface.
The remarkable thing about this engine is that it’s less than 3 inches thick, but it might be a little awkward since it adds 12 pounds to your front wheel. The good news is, it’s capable of 200 miles per gallon. Available in early 2007, the reduced fitness it brings you will cost you $400.
