Honda has just announced that it will be launching its hydrogen-powered FCX in 2008 — as a 2009 model. What sets the FCX apart from the others is that it comes equipped with a V Flow1 fuel cell platform consisting of a compact, high-efficiency fuel cell stack arranged in an innovative center-tunnel layout.
They’re also toying with a home hydrogen energy generation station that runs off natural gas..the fact that the new CXF “Concept†has a 270-mile range and can hit 100 mph

Symbian-Guru has the scoop on not one, but two unannounced new high-end Nokia handsets, the N81 (pictured on the left) and the N82 (pictured on the right).
The slider-style N81 looks it’ll be the successor to their N91 musicphone (except less, uh, busted-looking) and sport a full 8GB of memory, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, quad-band EDGE and 2100MHz HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The N82 has a more traditional candybar form-factor and’ll have a five megapixel camera with Xenon flash and auto-focus Carl Zeiss lens, quad-band GSM (doesn’t say whether it’ll be GRPS or EDGE, but we’re guessing EDGE), 2100MHz HSDPA, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, integrated GPS, FM tuner, and a microSD memory card slot.
Doesn’t sound like either will be out until Q4 of this year.

Not that there isn’t plenty of fresh laptop goodness to go around, but for some reason Sony‘s been a bit gun shy with its new ultraportable sexiness, the TZ11. And there’s really nothing to be ashamed of, we already knew the the thing was a looker when we spotted some leaked catalog shots last week, and now that this new leak includes better pictures and every spec imaginable, it’s pretty clear that Sony has a good thing going here. The biggest drawback is the lack of Santa Rosa under the hood, Sony’s instead settling for a 1.06GHz U7500 processor, 802.11a/b/g WiFi and Intel GMA 950 graphics of the last generation. Still, at 2.62 pounds, with a built-in DVD super-multi drive and LED-backlit screen, it’s hard to fault the laptop too terribly much. Peep the read link for some more pics and full specs, and stay tuned for a possible summer release.

While PCMCIA and ExpressCards certainly fit the bill at times, the convenience of popping any ole SIM card into a USB adapter and hopping on a 3G network can’t be denied. Teltonika’s HSDPA USB modem just so happens to provide such a luxury, as the versatile device supports speeds up to 1.8Mbps via GPRS / EDGE / HSDPA, is entirely USB powered, and provides the ability to “text from your PC” and use VoIP. Furthermore, the TELTUSB3G manages to support both Windows and OS X right out of the box, and the company even allows you to customize the enclosure with colors and logos of your choice if you cough up the required surcharge. Unsurprisingly, you won’t be snagging this one in the US without some importing help from the other side of the pond, but Europeans can grab one right now for around £165.00 ($329).

BenQ isn’t going as all out as some companies in jumping on the Santa Rosa bandwagon, but it’s not entirely missing out on the action either, trotting out its new Joybook S41 series laptop while the going’s still good. This one looks to fall squarely in the middle of the Santa Rosa pack, boasting a 14.1-inch widescreen display, a T7100 Core 2 Duo processor, up to 2GB of RAM, a max 160GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphics, built-in 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, and an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, among other standard fare. BenQ has managed to squeeze in a few things to help it stand out from the crowd, however, most notably an HDMI output and a still-less-common-than-it-should-be ExpressCard slot. No word on price, unfortunately, although it should be available sometime this month.
