At $2,024.20, the ASUS V1JP is a multimedia powerhouse, designed for both work and play. It boasts an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 processor (2.0-GHz), 1GB of DDR2 RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon X1700 (512MB) graphics, 120GB SATA HDD, 8x DVD Super-Multi drive, and a bright 15.4-inch WSXGA+ display. Product page. Here’s the bottom line:

Overall it is a pleasure to be one of the first to own the ASUS V1JP in North America. This laptop has a lot to offer in terms of performance, quality, features and decent battery life. I would recommend this laptop to business users looking for performance, graphic designing, security features, flexibility and a docking station

PLEIO MP3 Player

Posted on 02 January 2007 by admin

Here’s a first: an MP3 player that displays its album art like a CD cover. The PLEIO is a digital audio player concept that sports 128MB of memory and an ultracompact design. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.

In Korea, you can purchase virtual albums with the music and art on board. This way, you’re fooling yourself into thinking you’re viewing the front of the CD as it’s spinning away in your player

Samsung Q35 Core 2 Duo Reviewed

Posted on 02 January 2007 by admin

Weighing just 4.18 pounds, the Q35 boasts a vibrant 12.1-inch widescreen display (1280 x 800), an Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 (1.83-GHz) processor, 1.24GB of DDR2 memory, 80GB hard drive, and a DVD±R/RW drive. Other bonuses include an HD audio system enhanced with SRS 3D technolgy, 802.11a/b/g WLAN, and a 6-in-1 memory card reader. Here’s the bottom line:

Samsung’s updated Q35 is just as impressive as the original. The new Core 2 Duo processor brings with it extra performance and features, while the red lid really does make it look that bit more special. If you prefer the understated silver, that option is still available as the first picture in this review shows. But best of all, Samsung isn’t expecting you to pay through the nose for its fully featured, thin and light notebook
