PhoneArena reviews the ultraslim Samsung SGH-X820. At 6.9mm-thick, it features a 2-inch TFT-LCD display, 2.0-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, a music player, and TV-out. Here’s the bottom line:
The X820 is not only the slimmest candybar style phone at the moment but it also features a very impressive display, excellent set of function[s] and overall, using it is a great pleasure. The ringtones sound very good and the sound during conversation[s] is loud and very clear. A drawback is that you cannot use a ringer and vibration alert simultaneously

EverythingUSB reviews the SanDisk Cruzer Titanium 2GB USB Flash Drive, which features “space-age†liquidmetal casing and and is “nearly†indestructible. Here’s the verdict:
Overall I was quite impressed with the new Cruzer Titanium. It’s fast, tears through applications, has a smooth feeling and appearance to it, yet was easily able to withstand the crushing force of my car where another flash drive couldn’t

Made by Dal Nippon Japan, this 46-inch Transparent Projector Screen produces sound directly from the screen itself using an embedded speaker technology called “SoundVu†— developed by Nxt Plc. One drawback, it costs a hefty $4,000, projector not included.
Then there’s the built-in speaker: it’s actually an extremely thin layer that covers the entire screen, vibrating to create sound. Because the speaker is distributed across the entire surface, there’s almost no directivity, so you can hear it from any direction

Sony Ericsson just kicked out the K618, a new UMTS handset that they’re touting as being as “light and slim as a typical 2.5G phone”. Which probably makes tons of sense to the average consumer. Anyway, besides UMTS the K618 has a 1.9-inch, 176 x 220 pixel LCD screen, a 2.0 megapixel digital camera, and Bluetooth EDR (and support for A2DP, which means you can use it with stereo Bluetooth headphones). Should hit “selected markets” sometime in Q3 of this year, and no price is listed. Click on to see a couple shots of the K618 in white.

You wouldn’t think it would have taken Cornice 8 months to announce a 2GB growth in their drives, but the portable drive manufacturer announced their first (but not the first) 12GB 1-inch Dragon series drive, due to ship to OEMs Q306 for $85 apiece. It’ll still be a little while before you start seeing portables showing up with 12GBs of capacity (think about how few 10GB devices you see as is), but something tells us Cornice is really going to have to step up their game if they’re going to outrun Samsung and their NAND flash production abilities.

It’s not quite as fly as that Mica pendant-style player they popped out back in early 2005, but a new mini media player called the M1 has turned up on Asono’s website. This one has a squint-inducing 1.5-inch OLED display, up to 4GB of memory, and supports playback of AVI, DivX, and WMV video files and MP3 and WMA audio files. Battery life is listed as 3.5 hours for video and 15 hours for music. Bonus: if you order now, the M1 comes pre-loaded with Neighbours, a Scandinavian skateboard movie. Apparently “Norway and Scandinavia have had world class skateboarders for decades” and Asono would like to share this fact with the rest of the world.
