We’ve gotta take this one with a grain of salt, thanks to an unconfirmed source and that sketchy paste job on the screen, but if this pic and its accompanying deets prove true, we’re in for a treat. Codenamed “Excalibur,” we heard about HTC‘s attempt at a Q/i320 killer last month, and it seems to be shaping up nicely. Beyond the obvious QWERTY action, the quad-band phone will supposedly feature WiFi, and will be 2mm thicker than the i320. To the side of the screen is an interesting touch-jog strip for scrolling (in lieu of the Q’s jog dial) with top and bottom touch buttons to open the Start menu and go back. Looking good HTC, now if you’ll just confirm the device, mix in some 3G data and ship a few to the States at $150 each we’ll be all set.

Hot on the heels of MediaGear’s HD2GO is yet another photo viewer / PMP, but with 40GB or 80GB hard drive options, the Picture Porter Elite is more akin to Epson’s P-4000 line of capcious convergence devices. Supported memory card formats include Compact Flash I / II, MicroDrive, SD / MMC, and Memory Stick (xD, miniSD, and MS Duo cards work with an adapter), while the compatible file types include JPEG, TIFF, GIF, and RAW (image), MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV (audio), and MPEG-1/4, AVI, MOV, and WMV9 (video). The Picture Porter Elite will begin shipping on the 7th, starting at $450.

For those who’ve experienced hit-and-run accidents, check out this “TruScene†camera. It “hooks up to your rear view mirror, and films whatever is in front†— “constantly filming, saving everything into a 30 second buffer, discarding anything past that.â€
If a sudden jolt, or bump is detected by the device, then it saves those 30 seconds into its internal memory, giving you a view of the incident, and the moments preceding it
