Researchers at Japan’s Akishima Laboratories have developed a way to write or draw on the surface of water — “using an enclosure surrounded by 50 wave generators.â€
The image is created by water pixels formed from the simultaneous intersection of all those waves. As you can imagine, a powerful computer is needed to perform the complex Bessel Function calculations involved in creating this effect

The “MOTOFONE†is yet another new handset that Motorola unveiled today. Measuring just 9mm thick, it features a redesigned user interface, Electrophoretic Display (EPD) display, music player, and “extended†battery life. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.

The 2.75-pound VGN-TX3XP ($2,663) manages to pack a 1.2-GHz Intel Core Solo ULV processor, 1GB of RAM, 80GB hard drive, Bluetooth, 3-in-1 memory card reader, and a 1366 x 768 11.1-inch display. Here’s the verdict:
Yes the VAIO VGN-TX3XP is expensive, but if you need the smallest, lightest, fully featured notebook around with truly staggering battery life (9 hours 2 minutes), that price will seem more than justified. The TX3XP keeps the same great chassis design as its predecessors, but manages to throw biometric security in for good measure. The LED backlight screen is also better than before…
