Top Gear personality Jeremy Clarkson takes the Corvette Z06 out for a test run. This beast is powered by a V8 engine that produces 505hp @ 6300rpm and 470 ft. lb torque @ 4300rpm. Highlights include testing the engine from 0 – 175 mph in 5th gear and comparing the Z06 to Ferrari’s 575.

On the track, the Z06 beat the Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari F430, and came very close to the Porsche 911 GT3.

This little Prime PM-304AF music player is less than 3 inches tall and has a 1.5 inch LCD and an FM tuner inside. It’s available in a variety of embedded flash capacities from 64MB up to 2GB, and in addition to all that music playback goodness, it can give you up to 36 hours of voice record time.
Prime says the 304AF’s battery will give you 15 hours of playback, and it weighs scarcely more than an ounce. It supports MP3, WMA, and WAV audio formats as well DivX conversion. So what if it’s the next victim to be mowed down by the iPod juggernaunt? We kinda like its dual-boxy, shiny style.

This tiny, stylish alternative to the iPod Nano looks great and possibly does more than the player it’s trying to dethrone. iRiver is throwing this in your face with 2 GB of flash memory, a built in FM tuner, 2.2″ color display that also plays MPEG4 at 15FPS, voice recorder, and up to 25 hours of battery life. Even the most grizzled portable media fans will be impressed.
And for the more tech inclined folk, the Clix also supports MP3, WMA and OGG along with macromedia flash games.
Available now for $199.

Remember that sweet TV phone with the rotating screen? Well it is coming to the states, even though there is no support for the T-DMB digital mobile television service over here, yet. This is a traditional clamshell phone that can flip open and the screen can then rotate horizontally for television viewing at 30 frames per second.
The phone has a targeted release date of Q2 in Europe—prior to the FIFA world cup—but don’t expect it over here until the fall or holiday season. At least it got the FCC approval, and that is step one.
