Priced at $216, these “anti-glance” LCD glasses by Kowon Technology will supposedly give users the illusion of watching a 32-inch screen when worn. It offers a 320 x 240 LCD display in front of each eye and integrated earbud headphones. Fully charged, you’ll get around eight hours of use. The MSP-209 measures 4.8 x 4.2mm and will start shipping next week in Korea.

The company is bringing the glasses to market in response to the boom in demand for TV on mobile phones

Motiva Home Health Monitoring

Posted on 11 May 2006 by admin

Motiva is a kind of backwards TiVo for the elderly. It transforms the TV into a way for nurses and doctors to monitor patient’s level of knowledge and track their lifestyle and medication habits. Then health care providers can give feedback to the user if there’s any changes to be made or reminders about future doctor’s visits.

For every patient, Motiva monitors ongoing health status, usage patterns and regularly queries patients about changes in their knowledge, motivation and confidence levels – insights nurses can use to adapt care plans and gauge impact on long-term behavior…

Nothing says “great mother’s day present” like looking out for your mom’s health!

Doggie Driver

Posted on 11 May 2006 by admin

Practice your swing and exercise your dog simultaneously with this tennis ball Doggie Driver. Place the special ball into the driver by pushing the opening of the club on it to lock it in place. Then pull the driver back like a standard golf club and swing normally to launch the ball up to 100 yards. Just make sure the dog isn’t in the way when you swing.

Nokia 5500 Sport

Posted on 11 May 2006 by admin

I recall hearing once that customers perceive things that are yellow or red as being “sturdier” and “better made.” We’re not sure about the 5500, Nokia’s sporty model with rubber cladding, but it sure looks like it could withstand 4Gs and a brushfire.

Interestingly enough, the 5500 actually has a sport mode which includes a training diary and stopwatch. There is a switch on the side which locks the phone into one of three settings, sport, music, and standard. Finally, it has a text-to-speech feature for reading out SMS messages on the run. It’s also tri-band and should be in stores this summer for 300 euro.

From Gizmodo

From Techeblog:

Nokia’s 5500 is a semi-rugged phone designed for the active lifestyle. Boasting rubber grips, a splash/spill resistant shell, and stainless steel casing for maximum durability. It’s no slouch in the multimedia department either, with a 1.3-megapixel camera, MicroSD card slot, and music player. Nokia will start shipping the 5500 to Sprint outlets nationwide this summer, priced at $382 USD.

The integrated pedometer feature serves to monitor distance walked or calories burnt -during a busy day in the city or that breathtaking cardio session.
