iParty

Posted on 18 January 2006 by admin

This is the iParty, and no, it won’t increase the number of attendants of your shindigs, but it will stream music from your obsolete iPod mini to a stereo player. It has a range of 50 feet and transmits at 864Mhz. Eighty dollars for an accessory for an ancient iPod, good if you own a mini, but don’t go hunting down a mini on eBay for this thing.

Logitech Harmony Advanced Universal Remote for Xbox 360

Posted on 18 January 2006 by admin

Logitech has jumped into the universal remote control market lately with a line of Harmony controllers. So far these remotes have received mostly praise, except for their generally high price tags. Logitech used the launch of the Xbox 360 as an excuse to produce another excellent remote that supports the media-savvy 360. The remote can control nearly all units of your home theater setup along with the 360, it has a built-in memory to keep track of all of your commonly-used components and power them on and off all together. It has an integrated backlit monochrome screen (boo at no color, but it probably helped the price tag) and retails for around $130.Logitech Harmony Advanced Universal Remote for Xbox 360 Reviewed [eHomeUpgrade]

Bluetooth GPS Unit: Size Isn’t Everything

Posted on 18 January 2006 by admin

Here’s a tiny GPS receiver from i-Blue that communicates with your Bluetooth-equipped laptop or PDA and it’s pretty smart, too. Even though it has a battery that will operate the unit for 30 hours per charge, it’s polite enough to turn itself off when it’s too far away for Bluetooth reception. Just put this 2.7-inch tall i-Blue PS-3200 on the windshield of your car and it’ll see those sat-birds hovering over the earth. Whenever a Bluetooth-enabled device is nearby, it greets it with a fine how-do-you-do and helps you find your way home. The battery can hold out for 48 hours on standby before quitting. Best of all, the thing costs just $105.

Sony Ericsson k800i is the Wilma?

Posted on 18 January 2006 by admin

Looks like SE-World already landed some a pic of what’s supposedly the “k800i,” or what we saw earlier today as the “Wilma.” Not that we have any additional information, but you know we’ll keep you posted.
