Nokia 6125 with Macromedia Flash Player

Posted on 16 January 2006 by admin

Nokia’s trickling out the phones this month, this time announcing a simple quad band GSM/GPRS clamshell. The 6125 isn’t a 3G phone, but it does have its perks, like a 1.3-megapixel camera, FM Radio and a media player that supports MP3, AAC, WMA and MP4. And along with Bluetooth, infrared, USB and a hot-swappable microSD mamory card, it’s also one of the first Nokia phones to come with a Macromedia Flash Player. Should be available second quarter for about $280.

Samsung’s SGH-i300x ups the space to 4GB

Ok, look, we’re gonna be straight up on this one. We do like the fact that Samsung’s not settling down on the i300 and releasing the thing as a one-off or something like that — and we’re certainly not complaining about getting an extra gig of storage space at 4GB over its previous 3GB. But you know what we’d trade off before getting that extra bit of space? How about sooner getting Windows Mobile 5.0 on the thing instead of sticking to 2003 SE? Because otherwise the SGH-i300x looks like your typical lust-inducer: 1.3 megapixel camera, QVGA display, media playback software (MPEG4, h.264, WMV, MP3, AAC, WMA, etc.), 3.5mm jack, A2DP, MicroSD slot, and so on. Such a shame.
