Check out the picture gallery of the Bellwave F208 after the jump. It looks pretty nifty, and its amazing how they crammed in a 2 megapixel camera, a 262k color screen, Bluetooth functionality, MP3 and video playback abilities into a body that is only 15.8mm thick. The F208 is worth checking out, assuming it reaches the US.

What makes an iPod more EXTREME? Of course, adding a convenient voice recorder to it. XtremeMac announced its MicroMemo voice recorder at Macworld. This is designed for the fifth-generation iPod and it takes full advantage of the hi-fi audio capabilities for 16-bit recording. It includes a flexible mic or allows for external mics to be used via a 3.5mm plug-in. The adapter also includes a speaker for instant playback. Nikon has been seeing some success in the ultra-competitive digital camera market, and now that those sales account for more than 95% of their business, they’re ready to go all the way (almost) and are ditching their existing film cameras and lenses — except for their flagship F6 line and its relevant glass. They’re only halting production just now, so we should see the remaining cameras sitting around on store shelves for a bit longer, but when they’re gone they’re gone. So if you’ve been waiting to give this whole “film” thing a go, you might want to act fast, because it’s not going to be easy to find for much longer.

How much do we love VIIV-based Media Center excess? We love it lots and lots, so Ricavision gets a gold star for bringing joy to our faces and lots of juicy specs to the table with their new Plix Extria. Ranging in price form $3000 to $5000, the Extria packs in up to 2.5TB of storage, but at CES they were showing off a 1.2TB version, which was holding four 300GB SATA HDDs. The box was powered by a Dual Core Pentium D 3.2 Extreme Edition, had an Intel VIIV 975 ATX chipset, a 7800GT 256MB graphics card from NVIDIA, 2GB of RAM and tuners galore: dual NTSC, 2 S-Video in ports, and an ATSC tuner, with a free upgrade available to ATI’s OCUR for CableCard support once it starts shipping.

If you’ve been looking around for some Media Extender love, GAT might be willing to help you out with their new Thunderbridge Media Extender that they were showing at CES. It has SD and CompactFlash card slots for grabbing even more media than your MCE PC is offering up, and it up-converts video to 720p or 1080i to fill up your HD display with good things. Sounds like a party, and the Thunderbridge is actually one of the better looking Extenders out there, but let’s hope these things pretty up over time!

Well, that was fast. We went from concept mockup to leaked product shots and deets in about, what, five hours or so? Looks like the LOOX T800 series (including the T810 and T830) will apparently be announced right prior to V-day next month at 3GSM, and will be shipping in July if we’re to believe Pocketinfo. Both should / could have UMTS, 802.11g, Bluetooth 2.0, 128MB flash memory, 64MB RAM, Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU2, GPS; the only difference, it would seem, is that the T830 has a 2 megapixel camera, whereas the T810 does not. And there you have it.
More info.
