MPker Mobile Phone Speakers

Posted on 07 December 2005 by admin

Straight outta Korea is the MPker, a mobile phone speaker set that packs a nice little punch and has a sexy silver design. The MPker starts off more like a flat rectangle then expands to reveal the dock and speakers. It fits what looks like Samsung phones and some other models as well. Controls are available right underneath the dock so you’re not sitting there fumbling with the phone’s dinky buttons. The price for this speaker set is excellent as well, as it’ll only set you back $34.

Revolution for Thanksgiving ‘06?

Posted on 07 December 2005 by admin

IGN is reporting that the Nintendo Revolution will arrive just in time for another late November console camp-out party. The rumor comes from an anonymous game studio that was given the date from Nintendo itself. Might as well get in line now. What else could tide you over until Mario Kart: Nude Revolution comes out.

Evesham Scams Mac Mini Design

Posted on 07 December 2005 by admin

Yup, looks familiar alright. Eveshams’s latest tiny Mini PC is cute and stylish, just like the Mini Mac. Running Microsoft’s Windows Media Center Edition, it’s meant to be really quiet (which I guess is a big selling point for those of us with bionic hearing or suffer from “Telltale Heart” Syndrome) and includes a DVD burner, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Nothing too exciting, folks, but if you’re dying for one, they start at about $870.

EZAV’s EMP-700 Pebble music player

Posted on 07 December 2005 by admin

If you grab the internals of MobiBlu’s DAH-1500, mix them in a bag with “cute,” “shiny,” and “NW-A1000,” and steal a moniker from Motorola, you might end up with the EZAV EMP-700 Pebble. With it’s 64×48 OLED display, USB 2.0, MP3 and WMA playback, FM tuner, voice recording, and 12 hours of battery life, you be the judge. We’re not sure on what kind of storage they’re offering, and there’s no word if this little guy is going to be entered into the world’s smallest MP3 player contest, which would be too bad since we’re starting to miss those daily forays, but it ain’t quite the lightest at 0.7 ounces, making this Pebble sound like quite the brick.

D-Link has busted out a nice bunch of wireless music players in the past, and though they’re not really breaking any new ground with their DSM-120, at least they’re keeping the goods coming. The main story here is the versatility of the device, rocking internet radio and PC-stored music over WiFi, supporting external USB storage, and sporting room for an optional internal 2.5-inch HDD. You can pump the tunes out with a mini jack, optical audio out, or composite audio, and the device can even handle those pesky WMA DRM files, Napster/Rhapsody/generic downloaders of the world rejoice! It’s not shipping for quite the bargain basement D-Link is known for — at $229 it’s probably time to start thinking about devices that include storage.

Mamiya 22-megapixel ZD medium format digital-SLR

Posted on 07 December 2005 by admin

Mamiya first announced their 22 megapixel ZD medium format digital-SLR more than a year ago and it’s finally going to ship, a bit late, but hey this one is worth the wait. This professional-level shooter is up for pre-order (grrr, in Japan only apparently) for delivery on the 21st. Oh, did we mention it’ll set you back a cool $10,844 US green equivalent? But this is for pros, son, and features a 14-bit A/D converter recording 12-bit images at 1.5fps, CF and SD storage, 1.8-inch LCD and FireWire support. 12 megapixels or less is just so yesterday.
